Pooja of River Narmada was done with the celebration of Makar Sankranti
BHOPAL (MPINFO): On the occasion of Makar Sankranti festival, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed worship of Narmada at Sethani Ghat in Hoshangabad on Sunday.
He came with his wife Sadhna Singh to worship River Narmada.
Extending hearty greetings to people on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, CM wished for the state’s prosperity.
He said that everyone’s participation is vital for making the state prosperous and all-round development of Madhya Pradesh can be ensured only through united efforts. He said that plantation will be carried out on the banks of River Narmada for maintaining greenery and cleanliness.
Chouhan informed a plan will be chalked out to develop Sethani Ghat further.
Huge number of devotees performed puja at the Ghat on Makar Sankranti. The district administration had made proper arrangements at the Ghat for maintenance of crowd on the occasion.
