An infant ruined by a BJP MLA’s vehicle

BHOPAL: On Monday here an infant was run over by the vehicle of a BJP MLA under Bairagarh police station area in Bhopal, said police.

The infant Jitendra Surendra Padwar, aged 14 months, died on the spot after coming under the wheels of the SUV of BJP MLA Jitendra Daga from Huzur assembly constituency, they said.

Police said, Nikash, along with one other employee of Daga, had gone to a slum in Jat area for some work when the accident took place. Daga was not in the vehicle when the incident occurred; police said adding that the SUV driver Nikash has been arrested.

A case has been registered against Nikash under relevant sections of the IPC and the vehicle has been impounded. Police is on investigation.
