Kisan Baans Sammelan at Ratanpur in Raisen on August 6
Bhopal: With the cooperation of Forests, Sericulture and Horticulture departments, Madhya Pradesh State Bamboo Mission will hold Kisan Baans Sammelan at Ratanpur in Raisen district on August 6. Objective of the conference is associating farmers with financial benefits of bamboo and institutionalize bamboo plantation scheme. Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar will inaugurate the conference.
Farmers and producers will be registered online by MP Online on the venue. Besides, Director Madhya Pradesh State Bamboo Mission, Commissioner State Sericulture Corporation, Artisan Agrotech Kolkata, Alirajpur, Shahdol, Harda and Sidhi districts, Conservators of Forests and DFOs and farmer representative Shri G.S. Mukhati will share their experiences and discuss bamboo production, craft, trade etc.
Stalls will be set up at the venue by Bamboo Mission, Sericulture and Horticulture departments. Along with plantation, bamboo saplings will also be distributed to farmers. A documentary will also be screened to apprise farmers of all aspects of bamboo.
