New Delhi: Archaeological Survey of India will send a five-member team to Kedarnath temple, ravaged by floods, to assess the extent of damage to the structure.
The team led by ASI Additional Director General B R Mani will leave for the temple town, which was cut off from the rest of Uttarakhand after flash floods devastated the state nearly two weeks ago, on Sunday, officials said.
ASI has the expertise and the experience of such restoration work not only in India but also in Cambodia.

Culture Minister Chandresh Kumari Katoch had said ASI would help in restoration of Kedarnath temple and other monuments in Uttarakhand, damaged in the devastating flood.
