Amar Says He’ll Become Samajwadi from Mulayamwadi

Following acceptance of his resignation by SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, Amar Singh has said that he is grateful to him and will now invest his time in more creative works, said reports.

“I will become Samajwadi from Mulayamwadi,” he was quoted as saying in a press conference on Monday.

Also, he said that he would continue to be in SP, said reports.

Mualayam accepted Amar’s resignation from all party posts following an attempt to water down the growing difference between the two.

In brief and crisp letter issued by Mulayam from his constituency Mainpuri on Sunday afternoon, he wrote: “Since you have cited your health problems as the reason behind your decision to step down, I accept your resignation with a heavy heart from all positions in the party.”

Mulayam it a point to add: “You have made immense efforts for strengthening the party, for which I would always be indebted to you.”

The acceptance was communicated to Amar Singh, who was stated to be in Mumbai, reports said.

Amar had quit all party posts on January 6 and faxed his resignation to Mulaya from Dubai, where he was holidaying.

Since then, a battle of words had been going on between him and Mulayam’s cousin Ram Gopal Yadav, who apart from being another general secretary and Rajya Sabha member, was also widely known as the party’s think-tank.
