Budget 2024-25: Pre-Budget Meeting To Start On October 10; Here’s All You Need To Know

The Finance Ministry is going to start a meeting soon to prepare the general budget for the upcoming financial year 2024-25. This meeting will begin on October 10 before the preparation of the annual budget for 2024-25 and will continue throughout the month. According to a meeting notice circulated by the Budget Division of the Finance Ministry. Necessary information sought from all ministries and departments till October 5.

According to a meeting notice circulated by the Budget Division of the Finance Ministry. Necessary information sought from all ministries and departments till October 5.
In the notice sent today to all ministries and departments, it was said that there is a program of meetings with them. It said the schedule of pre-budget meetings has been prepared keeping in mind various exigencies and is being circulated in advance.
According to the notice, ministries and departments should ensure that the required details are submitted by October 5, 2023.
Pre-budget meeting will start from October 10
The pre-budget meeting starting from October 10 will continue till November 14. The budget estimates for 2024-25 will be provisionally finalized after the pre-budget meeting.
Interim budget will be presented this year
The budget presented in February this year will be an interim budget because Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the year 2024. The full budget for FY 2025 will be presented after the formation of the new government after the general elections.
Nirmala Sitharaman’s sixth budget
This will be the sixth budget of Nirmala Sitharaman as Finance Minister. Sitharaman presented her first full budget in July 2019.
