Delhi schedule of Janhvi Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan’s Dostana 2 cancelled as ‘cast and crew couldn’t breathe’

The increasing pollution in Delhi has been giving the residents of the city several problems. From breathing difficulties to visibility issues, the air pollution in the Indian capital has reached hazardous levels. But it is not just the people living in Delhi who are facing the brunt of this situation. Bollywood celebrities are facing problems too, and the latest victim has been the cast and crew of Dostana 2.

Dostana 2, which stars Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and newcomer Lakshya in lead roles, was supposed to have a schedule in Delhi. But according to latest updates, the shoot now stands cancelled because of the pollution levels in the city.

“The cast and crew couldn’t breathe. Visibility was so low that the camera couldn’t capture the shots properly. It was a no-win situation. The team decided to disperse until the weather improves,” a source told Bollywood Hungama. No new date for the Delhi schedule has been revealed so far. Recently, even Priyanka Chopra had a hard time shooting in Delhi and was photographed with a mask on.

Dostana 2 is a sequel to 2008’s Dostana, which starred John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. While Dostana was directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the sequel will be helmed by Collin D’Cunha and produced by Karan Johar.

This is the first time that Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor will share screen space and fans are waiting to see the two pair up in the movie. Besides this, Janhvi also has several other projects in her kitty. While she will be seen in the Gunjan Saxena biopic titled The Kargil Girl, she is also working in RoohiAfza, which also stars Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma. Besides this, Janhvi will feature in Karan Johar’s ambitious multi-starrer Takht.
