Airstrip and textile hub to come up at Katni : Chief Minister

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that power will be supplied for 24 hours to all the houses and eight hours for irrigation in the state from May this year. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was inaugurating a railway over-bridge constructed at a cost of Rs. 33 crore 53 lakh on Khirhani railway crossing in Katni today. In-charge of Katni district and Farmers Welfare & Agriculture Development Minister Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria was also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that necessary funds have been sanctioned for construction of airstrip at Katni. He said that arrangements will be made to develop a textile hub in Katni. He also informed about sanction of Rs. 18 crore for construction of roads and drains in the district. The Chief Minister said that exercise to supply 24-hour power has been started from Jabalpur district.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government will give loan guarantee to youths for self-employment. An agreement will be signed soon with banks to this effect. The Chief Minister said that provision to impart training and counselling to youth for self-employment and industries has also been made. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh has been honoured with Krishi Karman Award by the Union Government for achieving 18.91 percent agriculture growth rate. This success has been achieved as a result of the State Government’s policies.

The Chief Minister said that a scheme is being implemented for construction of low-cost houses for slum dwellers in the state. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has implemented Free Medicine Distribution Scheme for all the citizens of the state. The Chief Minister informed that directives have been given to provide ration to senior citizens on Antyodaya ration cards and serve free meals to destitute senior citizens under the Mid-day Meal Scheme.

MP Shri Jitendra Singh Bundela and MLA Shri Giriraj Kishore Patidar also spoke on the occasion. Madwara MLA Shri Moti Kashyap, Zila Panchayat Chairperson Sushri Kranti Chaoudhary, former MLA Smt. Alka Jain, other public representatives and a large number of people were present on the occasion.

CM sips tea at Jethu Vanshkar’s residence

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the residence of Jethu Vanshkar, a resident of scheduled caste locality and sipped tea served to him by the family. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan had visited Katni to inaugurate a railway over-bridge today.
