Final trial run of Bhopal Metro on October 2

After the completion of the connectivity and testing process at the metro depot located in Subhashnagar, Bhopal, the coaches have come on the track. On Monday, it ran on the metro track in the depot itself. Its safety trial run will begin from Tuesday. Metro will run between Subhashnagar and RKMP station.

The final trial run will be conducted on October 2. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan will not only flag off the final trian run, but can also travel by metro.

After covering a distance of about 850 kilometers from Sanwali (Vadodara) in Gujarat, the coach had reached Bhopal on the night of 17 September.

On September 18, he was brought to the Inspection Bay Line (IBL) built in the depot. After this, a team of more than 50 people including senior engineers, technical experts, supervisors were engaged in connecting and testing the coaches. After doing this work for 8 days, it was seen running on the metro track on Monday. Now from Tuesday it will be seen running from Subhashnagar to RKMP station.

The metro coach from Sanwali in Gujarat had come to Bhopal on September 18. Since then, the work of connecting and testing them continued.

There are a total of eight stations in the Priority Corridor. These include AIIMS Hospital, Alkapuri, DRM Office, Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, Sargam Talkies, DB Mall, Kendriya School and Subhashnagar Station. The trial run will be done from Subhashnagar station to RKMP station in about three and a half kilometers. On October 2, CM Chouhan will flag off the final trial run at Subhashnagar. After this they will also travel in metro till RKMP station.

Construction of foot over bridge at Subhashnagar station is being done at a rapid pace.

The work of connecting and testing metro coaches continued 24 hours a day in three shifts at Subhashnagar depot. Apart from Metro Rail, employees of Alstom Transport India Limited, which manufactures Metro, are also present here.

Each coach of the metro train is 22 meters long and 2.9 meters wide.

About 50 passengers can sit in a metro coach. At the same time, it has the capacity to stand for 300 passengers, Unattended Train Operation (UTO) mode, Automated Track Monitoring System, Energy saving features, Cyber Security Features in Train Control and Management System (TCMS), Intelligent CCTV System (ICCTV), Grab handle for holding, LEDPanel/Digital Route Map and Signage and there will be air conditioner coaches.
