Ajay Singh targets CM over Vyapam, illegal mining

Bhopal. Leader of opposition in the Madhya Pradesh assembly Ajay Singh cornered the State Government over the issues of illegal mining, Vyapam scam, malnutrition and agriculture in the assembly on Thursday.

While discussing on the Governor’s address in the State assembly, Singh targeting Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s speech during the BJP MLAs meeting recently held in Pachmarhi, claimed, “Chief Minister has advised his party legislators that all should become rich but should not buy vehicles, houses, shops etc that are visible.” At this point of time the ruling BJP members created ruckus in the house.

Singh in a sarcastic accent over Vyapam said chief minister himself is worried as how to get rid of it. “The Vyapam scam has ruined a whole young generation. The apex court has also made strict comments over it,” he said adding that 36 persons of a village of Maharashtra were recruited in Transport Department.

The leader of opposition raised questions over the determination of making agriculture a profit making business.

The agriculture growth rate of the state is showed at 20 per cent but why it is not reflected in the GDP. Madhya Pradesh used to be known as Soyabean state but today all plants are closed. Will we make agriculture a profit making business by losing our capital, he asked.

Raising the issue of illegal mining Singh said that the illegal mining of sand is going under the patronage of BJP leaders that is why the hands of Chief Minister are tied. Claiming that dumpers of chief minister’s nephew were caught during checking he asked that from where he was bringing the sand. His mine does not have environment clearing. Why the vehicles caught in illegal mining were not confiscated, he added.

He claimed that out of 586 mines of the state 450 are possessed by only two companies’ titles Shiva Corporation and Divyani. Chief Minister had stated that illegal miners should not be spared than how they manage to get spared. Chief Minister should announce that illegal mining would not take place and if any member of his family is caught in it he would be sent to jail, he added.

Raising the issue of malnutrition the leader of opposition said that our growth rate is good if this is so than why the children are hungry?
