Appeal to invest in tourism sector in Madhya Pradesh: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in a road show held by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department in New Delhi today. On the occasion, he invited investors to visit and invest in Madhya Pradesh. Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Shri Surendra Patwa, Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa and Union Tourism Secretary Shri L.K. Pawar as well persons connected with travel tourism industry, industrial houses, business establishments, media and distinguished persons as were also present on the occasion. Objective of the programme was to apprise investors about potential of investment in tourism sector in Madhya Pradesh.

Shri Chouhan said that Simhastha-2016 will be of different kind under which ideological Mahakumbh is being held. In it, 100 scholars from different countries have been invited. The event will be concluded by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Chouhan said that world famous tourism destination Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh is a unique confluence of peace of mind, wisdom and soul. Number of tourists as well as tigers in Panna National Park near it is increasing. Now, number of tigers there has gone up from zero to 32 there.

It is noteworthy that tourism continuous to have place in State’s priority list. As a result, fresh intensification of activities in the sector in the state has been lauded in country and abroad. The awards conferred to Madhya Pradesh Tourism for excellent works have given a distinct identity to the state.

Unmatched diversity of state’s tourist destinations and their being unparalleled makes Madhya Pradesh heaven-like for tourists. Atmosphere in the state presents country’s essence of unity in diversity. Due to topographical situation, it is easy to reach Madhya Pradesh from anywhere in the country. State’s scenic beauty, better level of cleanliness, safe atmosphere and easy-going nature of its residents enrich tourists’ experiences and feelings.

To increase tourism investment in Madhya Pradesh, the state government has formed a land bank. It has also taken several steps including formulation of a progressive tourism policy to promote investors in tourism sector in the state. Benefits of all these incentives can be availed online.
