MP is on top to support women in every sector
BHOPAL: For promoting the girls’ education Madhya Pradesh has been judged as the best performing state in the Country through innovative initiatives.
A national level survey stated that the initiative of Madhya Pradesh has been termed as prescriptive for other states.
The survey was jointly carried out by national level magazine and Abacus Market Research Survey, New Delhi. With a view to assess the performance of states, the survey is based on 10 parameters – administrative reforms, communal harmony, e-governance, environment awareness, girls education, industrialization, investments, law and orders, public distribution system and public health system.
The survey terms the Madhya Pradesh Initiative for education of girls as source of hope for other states. The Chief Minister has reiterated state government’s commitment for providing education to girls and developing basic skills to enable them to excel in their career.
Currently, MP is the only state to have adopted a holistic approach to girls education and employment. A series of Initiatives like Save Girl Child campaign, Ladly Laxmi Yojana,, Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana for marriage poor daughters and reservation of government jobs for women have been launched.
Also the scope of Gaon Ki Beti Yojana has been widened recently to cover the girls students of private colleges.
