CM reaches Idgah, extended greetings to people

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached Idgah on Monday morning and extended greetings to Muslim brethren. Chouhan showered flower petals on Namazis and talked to children.

Extending hearty greetings to citizens of state and country on the occasion of Id, Chouhan said that this festival stands for love, brotherhood and harmony. People should celebrate it amicably and make efforts for prosperity of state and country. Pledge should be taken on the occasion to keep away from vices and adopt virtues and promote love and brotherhood. On the holy occasion, he also prayed for peace in the country, state and world. He wished that people’s lives become prosperous, their living standard is improved and problems are solved.

State BJP president and Member of Parliament Prabhat Jha, Suresh Pachouri, district BJP president Alok Sharma, actor Raza Murad, several peoples’ representatives and senior administrative and police officers were present on the occasion.

Chouhan visited various areas in Bhopal city and extended Id greetings to local residents. The Id Milan process started from about 8.15 am and continued till about 1.30 pm. During the period, The Chief Minister visited Shahr Qazi Mushtaq Ali, Mufti Abdul Razzaq, Bohra community’s Amil Saheb Shaikh Abdul Hussain, Madarsa Board Chairman Rashid Bhai, Urdu Academy Chairman Saleem Qureshi, former Union Minister Arif Beg, MLA Arif Aqeel, Mohammad Anwar, Naib Qazi Babar Bhai etc and extended Id greetings to them. Dawoodi Bohra community greeted the Chief Minister by presenting a shawl to him.

Chouhan also called on Reliable Group Chairman Sikander Hafiz Khan and Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) Vice Chairman Agha Abdul Qayyum at their residences.
