Patwaris of Madhya Pradesh gathered in Bhopal on Saturday. After being on leave for the last 3 days, they took out the Tiranga Yatra in the state capital. When Patwari proceeded towards the CM House from Atal Path (Boulevard Street), the police had already closed the road by placing barricades. On this the Patwari sat on the road itself. They left only after demonstrating on the road for about 2 hours. Here, the Kotwars also demonstrated here. They were protesting for other demands including increasing the honorarium.
The Tiranga Yatra started at 11.30 am. State President of Madhya Pradesh Patwari Sangh Upendra Singh Baghel told that the triranga march was being taken out peacefully till the CM House. It was not a demonstration of any kind, but stopped on the way by the police. Patwaris from across the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Shajapur, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore participated in this demonstration. Patwaris across the state will go on an indefinite strike from August 28 if their demands are not met.
Along with Patwaris, Kotwar also participated in the Tiranga Yatra.

Patwari Pay Scale Pay Grade 2800 was announced in the year 2007 Patwari General Conference Sanawad. The Revenue Minister had given a written assurance of making 2800 pay grade, but till now it has not been implemented.
The pay discrepancy of the time scale should be rectified, be promoted. to RI, Naib Tehsildar and Tehsildar respectively. Other allowances related to house rent and traveling allowance should be increased.
