Vikas Yatra is reaching every village with schemes for development and welfare: MP CM Chouhan
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana” will make the country and the state and every family stronger. Chief Minister was addressing a large gathering after performing bhoomi pujan of Industrial Park and Group Water Supply Scheme at Patalpur near Berasia on Tuesday. Local MLA Shri Vishnu Khatri and Chairman of Employment Board Shri Sushil Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Chouhan said that I arrived in the midst of my family. Before being the Chief Minister I am a mama to my nephews and nieces, brother to my sisters and son to my elders. He said that he has come to Berasia with plans for the development and welfare of the family through Vikas Yatra. Addressing the women he said that as Chief Minister, this brother will send an amount of Rs one thousand every month to his sisters belonging to poor families and farmer families with less than 5 acre of land.
Chouhan said that by setting-up camps in every village from March 5 onwards, his ladli behnas will be able to fill forms till April and an amount of Rs one thousand will be released into their accounts from the month of June. He said that elderly eligible women will also be given Rs. 1000 by adding Rs. 400 to the pension of Rs. 600. He said that it is the intention of the government to economically empower every family and to ensure that the spirit of love also increases. He said that Ladli Lakshmi and Kanya Vivah schemes are the schemes of the government to empower women.
Chouhan, while criticizing the closure of public -friendly schemes by the previous government, said that his government will remove the burden of interest on the farmers and will save the farmers from becoming defaulters. The Chief Minister said that after getting a survey done in Berasia, construction of irrigation schemes will be conducted.
Referring to providing land to the poor under the Mukhya Mantri Bhu-Adhikar Awas Yojana, Chouhan said that during the Vikas Yatra , the officers should also ensure that no one remains without ration. Mentioning the Naharyau Group Water Supply Scheme launched to provide tap water to every household in 42 villages of Berasia, the Chief Minister said that every village in the region would be benefitted. On the continuation of the campaign against goons and mafia, he said that those who cast an evil eye at women will be hanged. Earlier, Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan and laid the foundation of various schemes worth Rs 212 crore including Berasia Industrial Park and Naharyau Group Water Supply Scheme.
Chouhan laid the foundation of Naharayau Group Water Supply Scheme of 164 villages to be built on Sanjay Sagar Dam in Berasia. The estimated cost of the scheme is Rs 177 crore 39 lakh. On completion of the scheme, , pure drinking water will be available to 2 lakh 94 thousand 970 citizens living in rural areas under Berasia, Shamsabad and Vidisha assembly through 12 thousand 737 domestic tap connections.
Chouhan said that a period of 28 months has been fixed to complete the construction work. 164 villages in the scheme have been included, including 42 villages of development block Berasia, 43 villages of Nateran and 79 villages of development block Vidisha. Under the plan, a water purification plant of 283 lakh liters per day capacity is proposed to be constructed. Pure drinking water will be made available to the citizens through Intake wells, water purification plant, about 742 kilometer entire water distribution system, pumping main and gravity main and 29 high level tanks. It is also proposed to add 38 high-level tanks built by the Public Health Engineering Department to the scheme.
In Berasia assembly constituency, a total of 10,000 tap connections will be given in 42 villages at a cost of Rs 45 crore 15 lakh and 161 kilometer long water distribution pipes will be laid in 42 villages. Under the plan, 7 new tanks will be constructed and 19 old PHE tanks will be connected to the system. About 52 thousand people will be benefited in this.
New industrial area
Chouhan also laid the foundation stone of the development works of the new industrial park to be constructed on more than 33 hectares of land in Berasia. The city of Bhopal is fast emerging at the national level due to its connectivity by air, railway and road and adequate availability of labour. In view of this, it has been decided to develop a new industrial park in Berasia at a cost of Rs 25 crore 88 lakh. About 95 plots have been created in this park in 18.322 hectares of allocable land. There is potential for investment of about Rs 300 crores in these and about 2400 persons are likely to get direct and indirect employment.
