Dev Anand’s last ceremony will be helding in London
MUMBAI: The funeral of the great legend star Dev Anand are likely be performed in London over this weekend, sources said on Tuesday.
The 88-year-old actor passed away on Saturday night due to a cardiac arrest in London while in his hotel room.
A close aide of the actor told PTI, “His son Sunil called me this morning informing that the cremation would take place in London. The cremation would happen on either December 9 or 10 as the authorities concerned will release the body after seven days of his death.”
“Some kind of inquiry is being conducted as the death had occurred at a hotel,” he said.
In the actor’s memory a condolence meeting would take place in Mumbai. “There will be a condolence meeting at the Mehboob studio because a make-up room of Dev sahab is still there at the studio. Also, there is some emotional connect as he had shot a lot of films over there. However, no date has been finalised as yet for it,” the aide said.
Dev Anand’s wife Kalpana Kartik and daughter Devina are flying to London after receiving the shocking news.
