Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duranto fares set to be increased

New Delhi: The government is likely to increase the passenger fares of Rajdhani, Duranto and Shatabdi trains once again. Given the increase in prices of food items, passenger fares are set to be hiked.
Earlier, the government took the bold decision to bail out the battered financial condition of the railways by increasing the passenger fares after a decade.
It’s worth mentioning that former Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi had earned the ire of TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee in 2012 by touching passenger fares in 2012.
