Karzai Denies Flaying US for Mediating in Afghan Affairs

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has sought to explain his words, which blamed the US for mediating in Afghan affairs, said media reports.

According to reports, Karzai called US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a few hours ago to explain his statement and reaffirmed the close ties between the two countries.

Officials said that Karzai told Clinton that he didn’t mean to flay the US but coverage of Afghanistan affairs by Western media, reports said.

Karzai offered an explanation as tensions between the two rose prior a scheduled meeting on May 1st.
