BJP Snaps Ties with INLD; Will Go it Alone in Harayana Assembly Polls

The BJP has snapped its ties with Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) led by former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala ahead of the coming Haryana Assembly polls.

With this, the saffron party decided to go it alone in Haryana in the forthcoming polls.

It should be noted that the two parties have achieved a truck only before general elections this year and it has fallen apart pretty soon.

The announcement, in the regard, was made at a press conference in Chandigarh by senior BJP leader and party’s in-charge for Haryana affairs, Vijay Goel.

The move is said to be consequent to senior BJP leaders’ observations over fixing of responsibility for the Lok Sabha poll debacle during the recently concluded Chintan Baithak at Shimla.

There is also talk of conflict between the two alliance partners over sharing of seats for the assembly polls likely to be held in October.

The 90-member Haryana assembly was dissolved on Friday night, seven months ahead of its term following a recommendation by the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government, paving the way for early polls.
