IAEA Chief to Visit Iran for Talks with Nuclear Officials: Reports

Chief of UN nuclear watchdog IAEA Mohamed ElBaradei will visit Iran within days to hold talks with the Tehran nuclear officials, said media reports citing Iranian nuclear industry source.

According to AFP, ElBaradei will meet Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organisation. Also, it is believed that the visit will be at the time of commencement of the Iranian week, which meant in theory it could be Saturday.

“Mr ElBaradei will come to Tehran at the beginning of the week for discussions with Ali Akbar Salehi,” the source was quoted as saying, one day after talks between Iran and six international powers on its nuclear programme.
