Culture dept briefs CM on MP foundation day preparations

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was briefed by the Department of Culture on the preparations being made for the Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day celebrations. In a meeting held in Mantralaya on Saturday. Chouhan, directed that the State’s Foundation Day celebrations should be held at Lal Parade Ground with 50 percent attendance under Covid Protocol.

The theme of the programs should be centered on Madhya Pradesh and on the contribution of citizens in the making of Atmanirbha Madhya Pradesh. The events should be grand and entertaining, should give a message and everyone should feel a sense of affiliation with the programs. For this purpose, a three-day program should be outlined.

Chouhan also directed drama performances on girl child education, industrialization and other subjects. Chouhan said that exhibitions should not only be held in Bhopal but should also be extended to the districts. Citizens should feel proud on foundation day programs.

The Chief Minister said that participation of other departments should also be ensured in the Foundation Day programs. He also directed that people who have done outstanding work in various fields, including those who have made significant contribution in vaccinations and other woks of service during the Corona period, should also be honored. The event can also be linked to the Foundation Day celebrations.

Chouhan said that the outline prepared on performance by eminent singers of Mumbai and the Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar National awards on the Foundation day is commendable.

Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains highlighted the need to seek the cooperation of Madhya Pradesh Madhyam team in the Light and Sound show and other presentations on Foundation day. Principal Secretary Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla briefed about the various activities being carried out on the Foundation Day.
