Exchange of gunfire in North Paris during anti-terror police operations: Sources

Paris: Exchange of gunfire broke out in a northern suburb of Paris during anti-terrorist police operations, sources said today, five days after the worst attacks in French history killed 129 people in the capital.
There was an exchange of gunfire during the operations in Saint-Denis, according to a source close to the investigation, who could not confirm who was targeted in the operations. Another source said a special armed response unit took part in the raid.

Firemen said one person was lightly injured.

Europe is on high alert with at least one of the Paris attackers on the run, as France and Russia formed an unusual alliance against the Islamic State jihadists who have claimed the worst attacks in French history.
