CM writes letter to couples benefited under Kanyadan Yojana

Bhopal: In a letter to couples who tied nuptial knot under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has enquired about their well being. Wishing them happy and successful life, the Chief Minister has assured them that the State Government stands by them through various government schemes.

The Chief Minister has written that he has got the opportunity to share problems of poor families through Kanyadan Yojana. There were a number of parents in the state who were worried about marriage of their daughters. Earlier, the State Government had no role in mitigating worries of such families. The CM said that he is happy that marriages of thousands of couples have been solemnised under Kanyadan Yojana launched by his government. Shri Chouhan said that he always has a sense of pride when he sees parents happy on the occasion of marriage of their daughters under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana.
In the letter, the Chief Minister has urged all couples to avail benefit of the government schemes after getting married. There are post-marriage schemes like Janani Suraksha, Godbharai, Ladli Laxmi Yojana, scheme for free uniform, books and cycles for students, Gaon Ki Beti Yojana and Pratibha Kiran Yojna which will benefit them in future. The Chief Minister has urged all couples to send suggestions for further improvement in Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana. Since its launch, 2 lakh 31 thousand couples have tied nuptial knot under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana in the state so far.
