Cannibalism in Brazil

GARANHUNS: In a horrific incident Brazil police arrested three people who confessed to act on cannibalism.

They have murdered at least two women. The bodies of two females found buried in the grounds of the house where the suspects lived in the town of Garanhuns, in northeastern Pernambuco state. The accused includes a man and two women.

When interrogated by police they said they belong to a sect and that “a voice” had told them to kill.Garanhuns Police Commander Democrito de Oliveira speaking to a news conference said that they confessed of eating flesh of their victims. He said the two bodies of female found were reported missing in Garanhuns earlier this year.

He also said that police were carrying and investigations and that the suspects could also be linked to the murder of another six women in Pernambuco. One female suspect claimed to use flesh of the victim to make pasties said police.

The three would be charged with murder, kidnapping, hiding bodies, fraud and offences against public health.
