Twitter account accused of disturbing communal harmony, Hindu organization files case

An FIR has been registered against the Twitter account holder after posting a post on social media. It is alleged that a post was made from his Twitter account to vitiate the communal atmosphere in Damoh district, which was completely false. After the complaint, the police investigated the matter and registered an FIR if found guilty.

A post was made by a Twitter account named Digvijay Singh, in which it was written that Shivji’s idol was vandalized by alleged anti-social elements of Bajrang Dal in the Kundalpur complex of Shri Digambar Jain Siddha Kshetra, one of the grandest temples of the country, flourished by Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Maharaj ji. Pindi Rakh has started mischief. The situation can take a serious turn anytime. This is a serious matter. Administration should take immediate action.

As soon as this post went viral, people associated with Jain Samaj and Hindu organizations started trying to find out how this could happen. After some time it was confirmed to everyone that there was no such thing. The post is fake, false. After this, the people of Jain society and Hindu society held talks with each other and then on Tuesday night, by giving an application in Kotwali, demanded registration of FIR against Digvijay Singh. Police investigated all the facts written in the viral post and after that registered a crime under sections 153, 505 and 177 IPC against Twitter account holder Digvijay Singh.

CSP Abhishek Tiwari says that the application was given by Bajrang Dal’s District Convenor Shambhu Vishwakarma, in which it was said that a poster from a Twitter account named Digvijay Singh related to deterioration of communal harmony had gone viral.

It was also told that this is misleading news which can spoil the communal atmosphere. After investigating the case, the police have registered an FIR against the concerned accused. As far as the arrest is concerned, the police is still finding out from where the account holder is operating this account and more facts are being collected, after which further action will be taken.
