MP : Veterinary ambulance facility soon in the state

To provide medical facilities to sick animals, the process of preparing 406 veterinary units (animal ambulances) is going on in Bhopal. 

These vehicles will be equipped with GPS, mic, microscope, blood test kit, battery operated mini fridge, medicines, disposables, syringe, gloves, artificial insemination kit and minor operations.

After reaching the village, this hospital will also inform the villagers about its arrival through mike.

Animal Husbandry Minister Premsingh Patel said that efforts are being made to start this system from April. 

He said that when a person falls ill, a person reaches the hospital but not an animal. That’s why this system is being started in the state. 406 animal ambulances sanctioned for the state have been received from the Central Government. 

One veterinary doctor, paravet and vehicle driver cum assistant are being arranged in each mobile veterinary unit, the minister said. 

A call center will also be set up for its operation, in which 5 veterinarians and 15 call executives are being employed outsourced, he said.

Provision has been made to provide fully fabricated vehicles to the District Animal Welfare Committee. Rs. 68 thousand per month will be given per vehicle for animal medicine, fuel and maintenance. 

The Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Dairying will operate, control and monitor the call center at the state level. 

GPS is also being installed to easily reach the vehicle to the destination.
