Media presented positive aspects of Simhastha before country and world

Ujjain. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan met media persons and thanked them for their cooperation and positive role during the Simhastha at Ujjain today Shri Chouhan said that media presented positive aspects of Simhastha before country and world due to which Simhastha has been discussed all over the world. Simhastha could be held successfully with cooperation of all. All sections of society, religions, voluntary organisations and Ujjain’s people have extended wholehearted cooperation for this. Shri Chouhan complemented Ujjain’s media persons for active participation to ensure Simhastha’s success.
In-charge Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh, School Education Minister Shri Paras Jain, Simhastha Central Committee’s Chairman Shri Makhan Singh, Simhastha Mela Authority’s Chairman Shri Diwakar Natu, MP Dr. Chintamani Malviya, MLAs Dr. Mohan Yadav, Shri Santosh Malviya and Shri Anil Firojiya, Principal Secretary Public Relations Shri S.K. Mishra and Commissioner Public Relations Shri Anupam Rajan were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that this mega event succeeded due to cooperation of all. This was the event of Ujjain, country and state with blessings of Lord Mahakal. Media also extended positive and active cooperation in it. Citizens, saints, seers, sanitary workers, Home Guards, police, volunteers, NSS, Scouts & Guides, NCC and all government servants also extended active contribution. The Chief Minister said that history has been created due to simultaneous holy dip by Shaivite and Vaishnavite Akharas.

The Chief Minister said that government and administration had been making preparations for Simhastha for last 4 years. Beautiful and pleasant conclusion of Simhastha gave a sense of fulfillment in life. He said that the way massive number of devotees turned out during Simhastha even after rains and storm was unimaginable. Simhastha reached pinnacle of success when over 1.50 crore took the holy dip during last Shahi Snan. Saints and seers exercised restraint. The Chief Minister said that he would extend gratitude towards Ujjain’s people by undertaking on-foot visit from Mahakal temple on May 29. On that day, he would also hold a meeting on Kshipra banks and announce new gifts for the city.

The Chief Minister said that the agriculture fields acquired for Simhastha Mela area would be returned after restoring them to their original condition before sowing operations. He said that Ujjain would emerge as a major tourism centre due to development works undertaken for Simhastha.

The Chief Minister had lunch with media persons. Later, mementos were presented to journalists and electronic media persons on behalf of the administration.

Shri Chouhan also released ‘Kumbh-Nama’ written by journalist Shri Vivek Chourasia.

Press Club’s President Shri Vishal Hada felicitated the Chief Minister and Commissioner Public Relations with shawls and coconuts. The Chief Minister garlanded Shri Hada and journalist Shri Nirukt Bhargava.

The programme was conducted by Additional Director Public Relations Shri Devendra Joshi. Commissioner Public Relations Shri Anupam Rajan proposed a vote of thanks. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Pastore, ADGP Shri V. Madhu Kumar, DIG Shri Rakesh Gupta, Collector Shri Kavindra Kiyawat and SP Shri Manohar Singh Verma were also present on the occasion.
