No Hidden Taxes, Agreements with Ruling Party for Investors in MP: Chouhan

Wooing investors, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the industrialists neither need to pay hidden taxes nor do they need to enter into any agreement with the ruling party to venture into the state.

“I am proud that the industrialists just have to pay the legitimate taxes, and they do not have to spend any other money and waste time to venture in Madhya Pradesh,” Chouhan told reporters after a BJP function in Indore last night.

The chief minister said that industrialists making ventures in other states have to enter into different agreements with ruling parties.

However, he denied to comment over AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh’s remarks that the BJP was a commercial-political party.

Only yesterday, Singh had described the BJP as a commercial outfit seeking to know as to how much money it had gathered unlawfully from the industrialists in the state.

In response to a question, Chouhan said that no leader of BJP was involved with the land mafias against whom the state government was running a drive.

No BJP leader has tried to influence the ongoing drive against the land mafias, he added.
