North Korea shows off long range missile
PYONGYANG: North Korea unveiled a new long range missile on Sunday. New leader of Korea addressed the nation and the world for the first time.
He placed nation’s military on top priority amid the cheering troops and bouquet-waving citizens. The speech was the highlight of two week long celebration marking the centenary of the birth of his grandfather, national founder Kim Ilsung.
The meeting was held amid the failed launch of a rocket on Friday that generated international condemnation and cost North Korea a food aid-for-nuclear freeze deal with Washington.
He says that Korea will continue to pour funds into the military, the parade culminated with unveiling of new long-range missile.”Superiority in military technology is no longer monopolized by imperialists, and the era of enemies using atomic bombs to threaten and blackmail us is forever over,” Kim said.
