Trolls slam Swara Bhasker’s masturbation scene in Veere Di Wedding

Mumbai: If you have already watched Veere Di Wedding, you know that there is a scene where Swara Bhaskar uses a vibrator for ‘charam sukh’. A section of trolls on Twitter have slammed Swara for her “masturabation (sic)” scene, claiming that they went to watch the film with their grandmothers, who were ashamed.
A number of users have tweeted after wtaching the movie and one of them posted, “Hey @ReallySwara just watched #VeereDiWedding with my grandmother. We got embarrassed when that masturabation scene came on screen. as we came out of the theater my grandmother said I’m hindustan and i am ashamed of #VeereDiWedding (sic).”
Of course, many also came out in support of Swara and her ‘veeres’. One user tweeted, “Why are so many sanskari people watching #VeereDiWedding with their grandmothers?”
In response to trolls, Swara tweeted, “Looks like a certain IT cell sponsored the tickets – or definitely the tweets !!!!” In another tweet, she wrote, “I wish paid trolls would at the very least re-arrange the sentences and run a spell check before their paid tweet attacks #PaidTrollsKiPolKhulGayi #SakshiSlays.”
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Veere Di Wedding revolves around four friends or ‘veeres’ – Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor Khan), Avni (Sonam Kapoor), Sakshi (Swara Bhasker) and Meera (Shikha Talsania). The film is off to a fantastic start at the box office, having earned Rs 22.95 crore in just two days.
