Salman Khan’s Tubelight collects Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday; movie’s run at the box office seems to be slowing down every day

Mumbai: Salman Khan’s film Tubelight collected Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday taking its total collection to Rs 114.86 crore in nine days. The movie has been on a downward spiral after being panned by critics. Salman Khan’s fans also have some difficulty in watching their beloved ‘Bhai’ as a slow-witted man, and this has been reflecting in the film’s box office collections.
Tubelight became Salman Khan’s eleventh film to enter the Rs 100-crore club, but has proved to be a damp squib by Salman’s standards. Though Salman’s film is expected to earn at least 300 crore but going by Tubelight’s collections, it is unlikely that it will reach even Rs 200 crore.
Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan, is an official remake of the 2015 American war drama Little Boy. It traces the story of two brothers, played by Salman and Sohail Khan, in the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
