Sequel for Aankhen
MUMBAI: Producer Gaurang Doshing is looking forward for making a sequel of Aankhen with only megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be expected to retained from the original cast
Aankhen was released in 2002 and starred Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen in lead roles, and it was about a bank robbery by three blind man’s.
It had two windings one for Indian viewer and other for overseas viewer’s.
“We have been working on this idea of a sequel since quite some time. The first part of the film had two endings, one for the Indian market and the other for the overseas audience. The three protagonists in the film would remain blind,” Gaurang told PTI.
The sequel will be directed by a new director sice Gaurang had a fall out with the vipul shah, during the making of Aankhen. Besides this Garang also had a fall out with Akshay due to monitary issues. Arjun and Sushmita were also unhappy because of editing of a romantic song between the two. Gaurang said,
“There will be a new cast except for Amitabh Bachchan. We are on the verge of finalizing things and would make an announcement soon.”
The film is expected to be shot in India, Canada and England and will be probably be released next year.
