Karan Johar’s revelation on IFFI stage: Sara is hiding sorrow behind her laughter, Karan wants to get the actress married.

On the second day of the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which started from November 20 in Goa, actress Sara Ali Khan and director Karan Johar released the first motion poster of their upcoming film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’.

On this occasion, Karan made many revelations on the stage. He said that Sara is hiding many sorrows behind her laughter. Karan also expressed his wish that he now wants to get Sara married.

At the event, Karan said, ‘There is a Punjabi aunty inside me who wants to see everyone get married. There is a matchmaker inside me, Seema Taparia.

All the celebs who have come to my show have manifested and become couples. I want Sara Ali Khan to be next. I want to do something for him.

The audience will see a different avatar of Sara.
While talking about Sara, Karan said, ‘I have seen Sara since childhood. Her journey as an actress has been amazing and in this film the audience will get to see a different avatar of Sara.

Sara vented her grief through the film.
Karan further said, ‘Sara’s character in the film is quite emotional. This is a girl who works as a radio announcer but has a lot of sadness inside her.

In such a situation, the happiness he expresses by saying Namaste, audience, is actually his own way of releasing the sorrow hidden within him. Sara has also got a chance to vent her sorrow through this film.

After launching the poster at the event, Karan said on the stage, ‘You are smiling so much, what a sorrow you are hiding..’ When Karan said these lines, Sara looked very emotional.

Sukhwinder Singh also performed.
Apart from Sara and Karan, singer Sukhwinder Singh was also present on the stage. He also gave a stage performance on a song from the film ‘Katra-Katra’.

Sara will be seen in the role of a freedom fighter.
‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ is a thriller drama in which Sara will be seen in the role of freedom fighter Usha Mehta. The backdrop of the film is set around the Quit India Movement of 1942.

Will soon be streamed on Prime Video
Based on true events, this story is about a college girl from Mumbai who later becomes a freedom fighter. It is directed by Kanan Iyer. Karan Johar is its producer. It will soon premiere on Prime Video.
