Deputy Election Commissioner reviews law & order arrangements

Bhopal: Deputy Election Commissioner of India Shri Vinod Zutshi held discussions with senior officers of Madhya Pradesh police regarding concrete law & orders arrangements for ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections here today. Chief Electoral Officer Shri Jaideep Govind, Additional DGP (Law & Order) Shri S.L. Thousen and IG Sushri Sonali Mishra.
Shri Zutshi directed to pay special attention to security arrangements at polling booths. He said that mobile parties should also be deployed on polling day so that people cannot be harassed. He also discussed other election-related issues. Joint Chief Electoral Officer Shri S.S. Bansal, Collector Bhopal Shri Nishant Varvade, DIG Shri Shriniwas Verma and Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Smt. Bharti Ogare were also present on the occasion.
Video-conferencing today: Deputy Election Commissioner Shri Vinod Zutshi will hold discussions through video-conferencing with district election officers and returning officers on various electoral processes from Chief Electoral Office on September 21 at 10 am. Shri Zutshi will also hold a meeting of officers at Chief Electoral Office at 3 pm.
