“Arohan” a unique book: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that ‘Arohan’ is a unique book. All should read spiritual experiences of the great scientist. Book ‘Arohan’ should also be available in college libraries. Shri Chouhan was releasing Hindi version ‘Arohan’ of former President late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s book at Ravindra Bhavan here today.

The Chief Minister said that the wanton race for material happiness is nothing but an endless mirage. He said that all ideologies in the world have emerged in search of self. Quoting various anecdotes and examples, the Chief Minister said that along with material facilities, happiness of heart, mind and soul is also necessary. He said that the God dwells in all like red colour is hidden in ‘Mehandi’ leaves. To attain God, we should be detached from attraction of ‘I’ and ‘Mine’. He said that a single consciousness pervades all. Its names might be different, but it is manifest in all living beings, animals-birds, plants-trees and river-hills. He said that late Dr. Kalam gave direction to the country. The state government is following his footsteps.

Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Shri Rajendra Singh said that spiritualism is the value of life. If there are no values in life, all material progress are worthless. He said that study of ‘Arohan’ proves that spiritualism and science can go side by side.

Higher Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta said that spiritual development is necessary with worldly progress. He said that the state government is making constant efforts in this direction. Efforts would be made to disseminate this message worldwide through ideological Kumbh.

The guests inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp. Sadguru Sant tied Raksha Sutras and blessed the guests with shawls and presenting mementoes. A brief video introduction to ‘Arohan’ was also screened on the occasion.
