Terror Has No Religion: SRK

Joining the nation in expressing solidarity against terrorism at the sprawling India Gate lawns in New Delhi on Sunday Bollywood super icon Shah Rukh Khan said “There is no religion of terrorism”, he was speaking at an event marking the first anniversary of the end of the macabre 26/11 terror strikes in Mumbai.

“Indian civilisation does not distinguish in terms of religion. We are an impossible achievement in the world and I’m very proud to be an Indian,” he added.

“No one can have two viewpoints about terrorism. There is no religion of terrorism. I am often asked my viewpoint on this, maybe because I am a Muslim and I am very proud to be a Muslim,” said the superstar.

He joined celebrities like Sania Mirza, Javed Akhtar and Abhinav Bindra and leaders P Chidambaram and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at the event ‘A Nation In Solidarity Against Terror.’ organised under the aegis of the Union Home Ministry.

Singers Shreya Ghosal, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Shankar Mahadevan and violinist Dr L Subramaniam also performed on the occasion, hosted by noted actress-activist Nandita Das.
