Sports competitions bring out some change in the monotonous life

BHOPAL (MPINFO): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that journalism has become a challenging profession in view of the present-day complexities of life and professional competition.

Events like- sports competitions bring out some change in the monotonous life, generates fresh energy and fills a new enthusiasm in life. Chouhan was inaugurating a cricket tournament of District Sports Journalists’ Union at Old Campion ground here today.

CM inaugurated the tournament by bowling a ball in the opening match between Chief Minister’s XI and Journalists XI.

Commerce, Industries and Employment Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Public Relations, Culture and Higher Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma and MLA Dhruvnarayan Singh were present on the occasion.

Chouhan said that diversity is the key to fervour and enthusiasm in life. He said that remaining healthy is necessary for life and sports are necessary for staying healthy. He said that sportsman spirit becomes helpful in meeting the challenges of life’s complexities.

Chief Minister said that everyone contributes to the state’s development. He extended New Year greetings to journalists and wished for their happiness and prosperity.

Journalists Union Patron Mrigendra Singh informed that this is 16th year of the tournament. It will continue till the month-end. Forty-two teams comprising 672 players from print and electronic media are taking part in it.

BJP spokesman Vijesh Lunawat, Media Incharge Dr. Hitesh Vajpayee, Bhopal Sports Journalists Union’s Shri Miniraj Modi, Shri Sushril Agrawal, Shri R.K. Naidu and large number of players, journalists and sports lovers were present on the occasion.
