Congress demanding apology from RSS

New Delhi: Parliament has been adjourned today on 11Nov till Nov 15. After a strong protest by MPs of Congress against the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) leader’s “objectionable remarks” on Sonai Gandhi.

The Congress on Thursday demanded apology from the former RSS Chief K S Sudarshan for his remarks against Congress president Sonia Gandhi.The remarks made on Mrs. Gandhi have not been revealed in the media as they were reportedly defamatory.

A statement published by a national Hindi daily on Nov 11 created uproar in the Congress as Parliamentary Affairs Minister PK Bansal claimed, “only an insane (person) can talk like that.”

Senior Congress leader Rajiv Shukla said, “Sudarshan has said nasty things against Soniaji which is not acceptable to us. He must apologies. We can’t tolerate it. He must apologies to the nation or else criminal proceedings will be initiated against him for his derogatory remarks.”

Sudarshan reportedly called Sonia Gandhi an American CIA agent and held her responsible for the assassinations of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi.

The youth congress workers did stone pelting outside the RSS office. Congress spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi said that a nationwide protest would be conducted as RSS has crossed all limits
