Madras HC Defers Case against Nalini till Feb 19
The Madras High Court has adjourned the case against Rajiv Gandhi’s assassin Nalini Sriharan after Tamil Nadu government said that it had yet not received a report on her premature release, reported NDTV.
The High Court deferred the case against Nalini’s release till February 19, said report.
Subramanian swamy had challenged Nalini’s premature release based on reports that a government advisory panel had recommended it.
The state government, however, told the court that it was yet to receive the report from the advisory board, said report.
Nalini had sought permission to argue her own case and challenged Tamil Nadu government’s refusal to grant her general amnesty.
