Cold Wave: Death Toll Soars up to 157 across Country
The death toll of those affected by cold waves has reportedly soared up to 157 despite a reduction in their intensity in last 24 hours.
On Tuesday 37 more deaths were reported, 31 of them alone from Uttar Pradesh. Six deaths were recorded in Bihar. The toll was 125 earlier on Tuesday.
In Punjab all schools have been closed till January 8 due to cold. Also, Bihar chief minster Nitish Kumar on Tuesday ordered all schools to be closed for next three days.
In Delhi, the Meteorological Department has predicted a maximum temperature of 19-degree Celsius and a minimum of 6 degree Celsius.
