Congress is day dreaming about winning Madhya Pradesh, says Amit Shah

NEW DELHI: BJP president Amit Shah on Friday underlined benefits of various welfare schemes for farmers in Madhya Pradesh even as he slammed the Congress for “bad governance” and “corruption”.

Addressing rallies at Seoni, Chhindwara, Balaghat and Sehora (Jabalpur), Shah said the Congress was a “private limited company” of the Nehru-Gandhi family that has done injustice to Madhya Pradesh at every step.

“Congress has till now not done anything for the welfare the poor. Instead it gave the slogan of garibi hatao (remove poverty) but worked towards removing the poor,” Shah said, adding that the party has misgoverned at every level .

He also mocked Congress president Rahul Gandhi, saying he does not even know whether potatoes are grown on or under the ground. He challenged Gandhi to name five Rabi and five Kharif crops.

“Congress has no right to demand answers from the Modi government as under 10 years of Sonia-Manmohan-Rahul government, scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore were committed,” Shah said.

He said the Congress was “day dreaming about winning MP”.

Shah also raised the issue of infiltrators and said the Congress was more concerned about their human rights than rights of Indian citizens.

He said the Congress had made MP a “BIMARU” state.
