Chennai Super Kings Beat Delhi Capitals To Register 2nd Successive Win

Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings opened their campaign with victories

Winning the toss, Delhi Capitals made 147/6 in 20 overs. Playing at his home venue, Shikhar Dhawan brought up his 33rd IPL half-century to wage a lone battle for Delhi Capitals. Prithvi Shaw departed after a quickfire 24 off 16 balls. His innings included 5 boundaries. Shaw and Dhawan added 36 runs for the first wicket. Continuing his rich form, Pant played a cameo of 25 off 13. His innings included 2 fours and a six. Thereafter, CSK made a comeback in the match as Dwayne Bravo struck thrice in quick succession. He got the important wicket of a well set Dhawan who was dismissed for 51 from 47 balls. His innings included 7 boundaries. Following the dismissal of Dhawan, the Delhi tailenders could add only 20 runs.
