Over Rs. 3947 Crore Income from Registration and Stamps of Documents in State

Bhopal. Revenue receipt of Rs. 3947 crore 37 lakh was collected in the year 2016-17 from registration and stamps of documents in the state. A target of Rs. 3900 crore was set for last year in the state, thus an achievement of 101.21 percent was attained.

A total of 6 lakh 40 thousand 372 documents were registered during the financial year 2016-17. Registration work was carried out in the District Registrar Offices during holidays also beside normal working days to facilitate common men in the month of February and March. Registration procedure was completed in less than 10 minutes time in the month of March owing to Sampada software. In order to prevent revenue evasion in non traditional methods of stamp charges, the cases were detected and recovery of stamp charges was made.

Cashless Transactions Ensured

Entire stamp duty and registration fee against each registry was deposited through online service providers by internet banking directly to the Registrar offices of the state. Earlier, the cash received towards registration was deposited in the bank. In the month of November 2016, the amount was collected through Sampada Portal ensuring net banking.

A web enabled portal www.mpigr.gov.in has been developed by the Director General Registration and Superintendent Stamps for the convenience of common man. The portal can be utilized through internet from any place. Moreover, the portal has been developed in Hindi and English language both. Information related to the department and guideline rates of property of all the districts of Madhya Pradesh has been uploaded on the portal. Any person can check the validity of his/her e-stamp through this portal. Beside this, the person can obtain information on property valuation, stamp charges and registration fee from the portal. Furthermore, a secured URL operating through state wide network has been prepared for departmental use. The Deputy Registrars and Authorized Officers are ensuring actions concerning documents’ registration. The Sampada portal has eliminated any kind of cheating and forgery being carried out during registration.

Revenue Increasing Constantly

It may be mentioned that increase in revenue income is being registered constantly in the state. The Registrar offices have been made advanced using information technology in the state.
