The condition of more than 100 students who fell ill together in the hostel of Eklavya Adarsh Residential Tribal School, Jabalpur, is currently stable. According to CMHO Dr. Sanjay Mishra, till Tuesday morning, more than 20 girl students had to be shifted to ICU. The matter is of Rampur Chhapar of the district. The students are from 6th to 11th class.

The children kept falling ill after having dinner in the hostel mess on Monday evening. On the complaint of vomiting and diarrhea, 65 children were admitted to the medical college and 35 children were admitted to the district hospital. Some children have also been admitted to private hospitals. The children told that they had eaten pulses, rice and jackfruit vegetable. Only after this he started feeling nauseous and dizzy. 450 children live in the hostel. The Food Safety Department team has taken samples of the food. Congress has cornered Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and the BJP government in the matter.

MP Congress media department chairman KK Mishra tweeted on Tuesday, ‘CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had reached Jabalpur on Monday itself to attract votes of tribal brothers. As per his habit, the propagandistic CM had also made a false announcement of constructing a hostel. Children in the tribal hostel fell ill due to bad food in the evening.

Gongpa President said – State government is responsible

National President of Gondwana Republic Party Tuleshwar Singh reached the Medical College and District Hospital late in the night. He said, ‘The condition of the children living in the tribal hostel is not good. They are being given poor quality food. The district administration or government never investigates. The state government is responsible for the condition of the children as they were served bad food.

Former minister said- ambulance was not found for children

Former Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot, Jabalpur Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh and BJP Metropolitan President Prabhat Sahu also reached the Medical College Hospital late night. The former minister said, ‘The children were given rotten food. When an ambulance was not available, the children were taken to the hospital by e-rickshaw and scooter.

Former Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot alleges that ambulances were not found to take the children to the hospital.

MLA said- serious children should be airlifted

Local MLA Vinay Saxena said, ‘This is a very sad incident. Children who are serious should be immediately airlifted and admitted to big hospitals like Delhi and Mumbai.
