Apex Committee Clears Establishment of 11 Industries in MP

Bhopal —  The apex investment promotion committee at its meet on Wednesday decided to provide various facilities to 11 industries proposed to be set up in the state with an investment of Rs. 11 thousand 506 crore.

Chairing the meeting, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan instructed for prompt implementation of the decisions taken at the meeting. Any delay would hamper the progress, he said, directing the concerning departments to take prompt action for providing land, water and electricity to these industries.

The proposed 11 industries include Rs. 2500 crore cement factory by Reliance in Satna district, Rs. 7580 crore Aluminum Smelter Plant by Hindalco in Singrauli district, Rs. 1162 crore cement plant at Kelaras in Morena district, Rs. 28 crore asbestos sheet factory by Nibhi Industries at Meghnagar in Jhabua district, Rs. 36 crore unit producing useful articles from polluting waste material at Fulgawadi in Dhar district by Rajratan Concept. Besides, Solvent units at a cost of Rs. 200 crore are proposed to come up at Gangahoni (Rajgarh), Pachaur (Rajgarh), Siya (Dewas), Mandideep (Raisen) and Shujalpur (Shajapur).

Those present at the meeting included Minister for Finance Raghavji; Minister for Industries Kailash Vijaywargiya and Principal Secretary, Industries Satya Prakash.

The meeting decided to reconsider the provisions pertaining to exemption in entry tax on import by food processing units from outside the state as also the provisions related to captive power plants in view of heavy power consumption in aluminum production
