State Govt. is sensitive towards problems of businessmen and industrialists: Raghavji

Bhopal: The state government is sensitive towards problems of businessmen and industrialists. Friendly behavior is being meted out to them. Conducive atmosphere is being developed in the state for industries and businesses. Commercial taxes check-posts are being computerised. State’s growth rate for year 2012-13 is above 10 percent. Efforts will be ensured to remove procedural discrepancies pertaining to businesses and trades. This was stated by Finance and Commercial Taxes Minister Shri Raghavji at a meeting with a delegation of businessmen and industrialists at the office of Ahilya Association of Industries at Indore today.

Association of Industries President Shri Ashok Badjatya, Ahilya Chamber of Commerce President Shri Sushil Surekha, Shri Rampratap Singh Gautam, Shri Preetamlal Dua, Shri Jagat Narayan Joshi, Shri Ajit Singh Narang, Shri Vijay Agrawal, Shri Ashok Jaiswal, Shri R.S. Goel, Shri S.N. Goel, Shri Hans Kumar Jain and other businessmen and industrialists were present on the occasion.
Shri Raghavji said that efforts will be made to remove if there is any discrepancy in form-49 prescribed for businessmen and industrialists. Commercial taxes check-posts are being computerised. Separate categories for corporate and non-corporate will be constituted under Bhama Shah Awards. Self-assessment process will be simplified. It will be constantly monitored. Necessary improvements are being made in industrial infrastructure. Work is on to link villages in the state with main roads. It will be considered to construct multi-storey industrial buildings.
Representatives of businesses and industries lauded State Government’s efforts for promoting industries and businesses. They also put forth suggestions for dispoals of problems pertaining to form-49, exemption from medicines entry tax, list of chemicals, VAT audit and other practical problems.
Association of Industries President Shri Ashok Badjatya delivered the welcome address. The function was conducted by Shri Vijay Agrawal.
