HP launched DreamScreen 400 with 12 partners

PTI, Mumbai: Hewlett-Packard (HP) today revealed its DreamScreen 400, a digital interactive appliance, in collaboration with 12 content and service providers for all members of the family. HP is one of the Technology giant in the market. HP has tied up with HCL as its distribution partner for the DreamScreen.

Company’s Vice President and General Manager Personal Systems Group Sunil Dutt told reporters here, “We did intense research and development and collaborated with top content providers for a interactive and enriching experience.”

For internet connectivity option, HP has collaborated with partners like Airtel and Tata Teleservices. It includes Aplalya and Tata Telecommunications for live darshan, Bill Desk for paying bill on-line, Edurite for education, Hungama for music and movies, India Games for games, India Today for media content, Music Today for music, NDTV for news and daily astrology and Yatra for booking air and train tickets.

The Vice president said this solution, developed in the country, is not only aimed at Indians living in the country but can enable the Indian living abroad to get connected to the India experience in their daily lives.”Apart from India, we are immediately looking at five countries for launching this product,” he said without revealing the names. Also some of the features on DreamScreen 400 are free of cost and some are nominally charged.

He informed, the company will add on more services and partners, depending on the customers need. “We may add features like health, matrimony, cricket, spoken English and entrance exams related features in the futures depending on the need,” he added. The device will cost Rs 19,999 and will launch across 60 cities across the country, later this week.
