Ghamandia’ Alliance Reluctantly Supported Women’s Reservation Bill: PM Modi Trains Guns On Oppn In Bhopal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, green-flagged the poll preparations in Madhya Pradesh with his address to the BJP workers at the mega gathering of cadre. He launched a scathing attack on the Congress over alleged ‘corruption and appeasement’ while highlighting the developmental works undertaken by Shivraj Sigh Chouhan’s government in the state.

In his bid to reach women voters, the Prime Minister said the opposition’s “ghamandia” (arrogant) alliance reluctantly supported the Women’s Reservation Bill. He also promised to fulfil ‘remaining promises’ if the BJP returns to power. PM Modi also took a jibe at the reluctance of Congress to accept the government’s developmental initiatives such as UPI and the construction of the New Parliament Building.

The Prime Minister did not mince words when he criticized the Congress party, referring to it as synonymous with “bad governance” and ‘kuniti’ (misdeeds). He accused the Congress of wreaking havoc in states where it held power, citing instances of corruption running into crores of rupees.
