Lawyers Appointed to Represent Kasab in HC
The Bombay High Court has appointed two lawyers for representing Mumbai terror attacks convict Amir Ajmal Kasab, who has been awarded death penalty, said media reports.
The Maharashtra State Legal Cell appointed lawyers Amin Solkar and Farhana Shah as Kasab’s legal representatives after he pleaded for lawyers for representing him in the High Court, reports said.
Kasab was found guilty for his role in the Nov 26, 2008, Mumbai terror attacks and awarded the death penalty by special judge ML Tahaliyani May on 6.
He last week wrote a letter to the Bombay High Court saying the death sentence was not acceptable to him and that he wanted legal assistance to fight his case.
