Khargone: Big accident in Khargone district, a bus full of passengers fell from a 50 feet high bridge, 21 died, PM-CM expressed grief

A major accident has taken place in Khargone district. A passenger bus fell 50 feet from the bridge over the Borad river. 21 people have died in the accident, it is being told that 15 people died on the spot itself. At the same time, one passenger died in the hospital. The district administration has confirmed the death. 20-25 people are injured. Driver, conductor and cleaner are also reported to have died in the accident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath expressed grief over the bus accident in Khargone and expressed their condolences to the families of the deceased.

A total of 21 people, including nine women, three children and nine men, have died in the accident. 10 injured have been referred to Indore. 22 injured are undergoing treatment at Khargone District Hospital. The bus was going from Shrikhandi to Indore. The accident happened at nine in the morning.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that it is a very sad incident. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident. Officers have immediately reached the spot. The injured have been immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem. Collector Shivraj Singh Verma in Khargone said that 15 people died on the spot in the accident. One passenger died in the hospital. The state government has announced financial assistance. It is being investigated whether the bus was overloaded or not.

Bus number MP10-P-7755 is being told of Maa Sharda Travels, which was going to Indore from Khargone district. The accident happened on the Khargone-Thikri road. The bus was passing through a bridge over a river when it suddenly fell down. There was a loud noise and there was chaos. There were more than 40 passengers in the bus. The accident happened near Dasanga village. The villagers informed the police. The police personnel along with the villagers took out the injured and sent them to the hospital. After getting the information of the incident, MLA Ravi Joshi also left for the spot. The villagers told them that everyday the buses are overloaded and pass at high speed. Many times we interrupted the bus drivers, but they do bullying. The collector said that there were more than 45 passengers in the bus. The cause of the accident is being investigated. Villagers told that the bus was speeding and the driver could not control it and breaking the railing, the bus fell into the dry river.

The relatives of the deceased will get 6-6 lakhs
The Central Government and the State Government have announced financial assistance for the next of kin of the deceased. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Rs 2 lakh each will be given to the next of kin of those killed in the Khargone accident and Rs 50,000 each to the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. Similarly, expressing grief over the accident, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced financial assistance to the families of the deceased and the injured. The state government has announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of those killed in the bus accident in Khargone, Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured, Rs 25,000 to the minor and minor injured. Along with this, arrangements for proper treatment of the injured in the accident will be made by the state government.

thankfully the river was dry
The number of deaths due to the drying of the river is said to be around 16. Had there been water in the river, the death toll could have been higher. A similar incident took place last year at Khalghat, when a bus fell off a bridge over the Narmada river and no one was saved.

Kamal Nath also expressed grief
State Congress President Kamal Nath said that the sad news has been received about the death of 15 people and injuries to many people due to the accident of a bus in Khargone district. I pray to God for the peace of the departed souls. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. I pray that the relief and rescue teams get quick success in their mission.
